In this sentence, she could say " I admire you".
There is no need to use preposition.
If the sentence is I admire you for something that means 我因為something 而崇拜他- -.

Usually, you can't say I read the wrong thing.
It means you always read the wrong thing and it is your custome.
If you say I have read the wrong thing, it means 我睇錯左野(但同上一句我成日睇 ...

It is not simple present simple but simple past tense-,-
